Team ACTION could not let the opportunity of being part of the campaign that emerged in honour of the late post-apartheid president Nelson Mandela pass on, without making a meaningful contribution to this day of goodwill. Therefore, succeeding the actual day (18 July) set aside for everyone who is in support and believes in the course to transform the world in 67 minutes through their abilities to do their own bid, ACTION took to the track in the Kaya FM relay, organized by Kaya FM to raise funds for various humanitarian initiatives carried out by the latter in partnership with the Mandela Foundation.
The second 67 Km Kaya FM relay that took place on Sunday, 06 September at the Nasrec Stadium in Johannesburg, Soweto, brought together corporate companies, organizations, families, as well as the young and old individuals to participate in this healthy team-building activity while creating space for reflections on the life and times of Nelson Mandela, as well as on the principles of reconciliation, peace and education that he held so dearly. For the ACTION team the activity also served as an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of teamwork as we were socializing outside the work space. A team of 10 people had to complete 5 legs in which 2 members of the team ran a leg of 6.7kms. Although the ACTION team did not manage to get a prize since the team was not among those who finished first, the activity was fun and was completed well in team spirit.
